CoMMotion in the News
"Curtain Call Makes an Appearance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame"
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will honor the life, music and legacy of two-time inductee Michael Jackson with a tribute weekend Friday, June 25 through Sunday, June 27, 2010 in Cleveland Ohio.
As part of the festivities, many performers will take the stage in honor of the music legend, including four dancers from CoMMotion Dance Studio in Germantown, MD. The dancers will be performing with Jason Malachi, a vocal performer and dancer who studied with Bonnie Slawson, the owner and an instructor at CoMMotion.
Slawson was invited to choreograph the performance for Malachi and her four dancers for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s tribute to the King of Pop. The dancers will be outfitted in costumes from Curtain Call’s 2010-2011 costume line, which were selected by Slawson.
Sara Murphy, Curtain Call’s Sr. Director of Merchandise and Design, was thrilled with the news of the performance. “We are honored that one of our latest styles will be on stage for this historic Michael Jackson tribute weekend,” she said. “Thanks to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Bonnie Slawson for making it possible for Curtain Call Costumes to be a part of this event!”
We wish the best of luck to CoMMotion Dance Studio this weekend along with all of the other performers.
